Why choose our canal?
The Gloucester and Sharpness canal was completed in 1827 with the aim of bypassing the the River Severn below Gloucester. The canal is wide so there is plenty of room for manoeuvre, nice for the first time boater. There are no locks only bridges that are manned by British Waterways Staff.
The canal has many features that make it quite unique, there are plenty of places to moor up and places to see, you may even see a tall ship leaving Gloucester dock, where is that camera?
Our Boats
Madison Avenue is a 60Ft narrowboat built by Aqualine Marine to a very high standard. It comes fully equipped with all you will need for a relaxing few days on the canal.
Sleeping up to 4 persons the front bedroom has a double bed with the dining area converting to a second double.
